My Cricut Scrapbooking

I waited up until 2 a.m. to check the Michaels sale ads and cricut cartridges were not on sale.  I opened up the Sweet Treat cartridge this morning.  I did not get to spend as much time playing with it as I thought I was going to able to.  My husband wanted to go visit some relatives which I totally did not mind.  After we got home, fed the kids and got them bathed and to bed I did not feel like doing much with the cricut.  I did however get approved for the day off tomorrow that I had requested so I plan on spending some time with my cricut expression during nap time tomorrow.  Here is what I did so far with the Sweet Treats cartridge.  I was just playing around, so it’s not the greatest work but I just love this cartridge and it is one of my all time favorite cricut cartridges.

Here is the party hat party favor box.  It was really easy to cut.  I used the Party Time paper by My Minds Eye.  I got it at Hobby Lobby when they were having a 50% off sale.  When I checked there ad this morning they have paper pads and packs all 50% off this week as well.  It is a good buy because they have a larger variety of paper then Joanns or Michaels.

I just used some polka dotted ribbon for the handle.  I think that the party favor boxes are cute.  I wish that the Sweet Treats cricut cartridge was loaded into Design Studio so I could see how large I could actually make this.  This box was cut using the fit to page option but I think through design studio I could have made it larger.

Here is a cupcake.  I used some more paper from the Party Time paper pack for the cupcake and some shiny paper for the wrapper and the cherry.  I don’t remember the brand name.  I have had it for a while.  I cut the cupcake and the cherry at 6 inches.  The wrapper at 6 1/2 inches.  I had to go a half inch larger on the wrapper because after I crimped it with the Fiskars crimper the 6 inch size was not wide enough to cover the cupcake.
