Cutting Vinyl On My Cricut Video
I have had several people ask me about cutting vinyl on the cricut so I thought that I would do a little video tutorial. I also show how to use transfer tape or contact paper to place your design on the location of your choice. If you want information on where I purchase my vinyl, please click here to review a previous post.

I cut my vinyl a different way, to me it appears that you have a bunch of wasted vinyl. I keep my cricut vinyl on the backing and place on the mat, then cut then remove the vinyl(with back still attached) roll it back up and put it in the sleeve. This way you have a stencil also if you wish to use it later for a T or another project. Next I take the transfer tape and put it over the cut image on the mat, lift off the image and backing, place backing back on the transfer tape and roll up the image til I am ready to use. Just a thought, save some more vinyl;)
I do it the other way as well. I’m too poor to waste that much material. When I decorated my E I didnt even use transfer tape. Just peel off one side and have it stuck down and as you go pull the back off and press down.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I purchased vinyl some time ago and haven’t cut it yet. Your tutorial has taken the anxiety out of it for me.
Thank you i understand now, i see how the contact paper comes in to play.
Thanks again
I have been cutting vinyl for awhile BUT, I’ve never used any transfer tape so your video helped me in how to use it (and I will be getting some clear contact paper from Walmart!) TFS!
Jackie
Thanks for the video! I have always cut my vinyl with the blade at 3, pressure and speed on medium. I will have to give your settings at try. Isn’t cutting vinyl the best?!! Oh happy day when I discovered it
