My First Hannah Montana (PARTY) Cricut Word Book

I have been waiting patiently (not!) by the mailbox for my Hannah Montana cricut cartridge to arrive and it has not arrived yet.  I played around with Design Studio this morning and came up with a PARTY word book.  I can’t wait to cut it.

The file is good to go, You probably would want to highlight the middle of the PAR letters and hide the contour on each.  I  included a reminder text file in the zip file.  The rectangle of the book was created with the Plantin School cartridge.  If you don’t have that cartridge, you can change the rectangle out for another rectangle on a different cartridge.  Click on the word videos under tag section on the right for a demonstration on how to do this.

Baby Word Book For Sure Cuts A lot SCAL

This is my second attempt at making a word book.  I am making it for a gift for a co-worker who just had a baby boy.  I am going to bind it with my bind it all.  I just have to make time to get to Hobby Lobby and get some more O rings.  Here is what it looks like so far.

I had enough time today cut the paper for it as well.  Here is a work in progress picture.

I have to glue everything together and then bind it with the bind it all.  I have a bunch of pictures ready to add that I just got from Walgreen’s.  They are running a special for 50 pictures for $5.00 I uploaded 150 pictures from my digital camera.  I think $15.00 for 150 pictures is a great deal.

Since grandma and grandpa are only 1 letter different, I added an optional P page at the end of the word book in the cut file for a Grandpa word book.

I hid the contour on the R,D,N,A,A on the book that I cut, please make sure to check them before you cut if you want them hidden as well.

Still Working on Daughter Wordbook

I am still working on the wordbook.  I try to do a little bit here and there as I can.  I was so excited to get it put together today with my bind it all…  then my worst fear arghhhh!!! I messed up the first page and ended up putting the holes in crooked.  I even did test cuts on some extra pieces so I could figure out where I wanted the holes to be.  The only thing that I can think of was that it got caught on the shadowed D and did not get down all the way, like I SWEAR that it was.  I thought about it for awhile and decided to just let it be what it is.  I think I covered it up pretty well with the ribbon and bow.

I love working with glitter but it is messy and a pain.  I learned a trick to run the letters through the Xyron machine backwards and then put the glitter on.  It works!  The glitter stays put and does not come off on your fingers and go everywhere.  I tried the flower-soft on the the scalloped circle and I am not sure I like it but I think that it looks okay.

I can’t believe that it has been almost 2 years, time sure does fly by quick.  I am just glad that I have a ton of pictures to look back through.
