New Stuff!!!
I stopped by Joann’s on the other side of town looking for some Tim Holtz Stickles and when I walked in the door, there staring me in the face saying BUY ME! were the holiday 2010 Sizzix releases (no Tim Holtz sad to say)
These are soooooo cute!!!!!! I have not seen these online or in stock anywhere yet. They also had a bunch of Bigz dies (Rudolph) and (Snowman) that come with free coordinating embossing folders. I did not buy any of those, but they were selling those for $29.99.
Each set of folders comes with a fee coordinating sizzlits die .
They are selling for $15.99 a piece argh!!!! If anyone knows me though, I rarely ever pay full price. It just so happened that I was armed with COUPONS!
If you buy this magazine at Joann’s there are (2) 50% and (4) 40% off coupons on the back of it. The coupons can all be used at the same time!!!! The magazine is $2.99 and if magazines are not on sale that week, you can even use a 40% to buy the magazine!!!! The store on the other side of town never carries this magazine, but the smaller Joann’s store near me does. So when I see them, I usually buy six of them. They don’t expire until January of 2011. I have also used the 50% coupons at Michal’s when I bought my Xyron Creative Station and Prisma Colored Pencils.
I think most everyone knows that I got a pink cricut expression!!! Well CGULL is selling a pink tool kit. I got it from papercraftingpro.com for $12.50 plus $5.20 shipping.
I think that the color is off, because it is EXACTLY the same color pink as the cricut. It almost matched the cricut expression rolling tote that I have and the cricut cartridge tote.
Today is the the start of my vacation!!!! Yesterday my son turned 2 and we had a small birthday party for him. His big party is going to be next weekend. We are spending three nights in Wisconsin Dells this week. The kids are going to have so much fun at the waterpark. They are so excited and keep running around asking if we are on vacation yet. It is so cute!!
I will try and post a few more files before I go on vacation, if I don’t have a great week!!!!!
Toy Story and New Cartridges $34.95 and Free Shipping!!!!
I woke up and checked my e-mail this morning to an e-mail from http://cricutmachine.com and they are having a really good sale right now. All of the new cartridges including Toy Story are $34.95 and FREE SHIPPING!!!! My kids are OBSESSED with Toy Story right now. I can not wait to get this cartridge. My daughter was jumping up and down as I ordered it.
The other day I got an e-mail from them that the gypsy was on sale for $189.00. That is not unusual, but this Gyspy comes with 6 cartridges and guess what????? All six are an electronic download.
I know at one point they were selling the 4 down-loadable cartridges in a bundle as well for $49.95 and several people have bought it and it does work! It is no longer on there site but I am POSITIVE that this will not be the last you have heard about this. There have been rumblings for a long time that cricutmachine.com is owned and operated by Provocraft since the contact information they have listed on there site, and with the BBB are listed on other sites that we KNOW are Provocraft. I am thinking that this was a test for them to see how the download service would work and maybe, just maybe there will be some more $12.50 cartridges in our future!!!
Gypsy and Design Studio Updates and a New Thanksgiving Cartridge!!!!
Hi Everyone,
I have been waiting and waiting for the new Gypsy and Design Studio updates. Well there is an unannounced update because when you connect and sync your Gypsy it does download a new update. We now have French Manor and All the Martha Stewart Cake Cartridges on the Gypsy!!!! Yes, connect your Gypsy and sync it to get your updates! (sorry the Creative Memories Cartridges were not included in this Gypsy update)
I thought, what the heck, since there was an unannounced Gypsy update, maybe the cricut design studio has an update as well. Well guess what??? (click on the picture to go to the site to download the update)
It says that the last update was July 15th but that is not true, it will download a new update with cartridges that are not listed yet. All the Martha Stewart Cakes are available. I also saw the new exclusive Creative Memories cricut cartridges in the update as well.
Reminisce Accents
There was also a new cartridge called Thanksgiving!!!!!
I am off to link my cartridges to my Gypsy!!!
Pink ATG Gun SVG and Blog Candy (closed)
Hi Everyone,
I was at Michaels the other day and I ran into the display that had 10 pink ATG’s. $1.20 of each purchase goes to The Susan G. Komen For The Cure. Even though I know the one I ordered from Kim @ Cutters Creek will be shipping soon I just could not help myself. I had a 40% off coupon burning a hole in my pocket. Okay 2 coupons, because I walked out with 2. One for me and one for a lucky blog reader.
All you have to do to be entered into this drawing is leave a nice comment on this blog post. The winner will be chosen Saturday August 21st. 1 comment per person please.
I have been asked if international readers can enter, and the answer is YES. I will pay a maximum of 10.00 for shipping international, if it beyond that, you will be asked to pay the difference. Thank you for your understanding.
Here is the ATG template that I made. In the zip file you can download the svg for cutting on your cricut via Sure Cut’s A lot. For anyone that does not have SCAL2, I am also including a printable (pdf) template in the zip file as well.
Please click on the button to download the zip file.
Tim Holtz Journey Book
I have been spending a lot of time on Tim Holtz’s blog and watching his demo videos here. I don’t think that I ever had made something for myself until now. I made a Journey book.
These are most of the supplies that I used.
I used Grungepaper, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Popsicle, Cranberry Zing, Black Magic), Distress Ink (Worn Lipstick), Distress Crackle Paint (Tattered Rose), Sizzix Tim Holtz Die Tattered Flowers, Tim Holtz Philospy Tag, and pearl for the flower. I also used two stamps from The Journey Tim Holtz collection.
The book is 6×6. I just cut 2 pieces of grungepaper 6×6, inked them and then covered them (front and back) with the crackle paint. I used my heat tool to speed up the crackle process and then stamped the cover. What is a book with out a little bling? I used my Jolee Rhinestone tool and adhered Swarovski Crystals to the cover.
I love this flower!!!! I cut the grunge paper flower on my Big Shot Express and then sprayed each of the flower layers with the tattered angels glimmer mist and then let them dry over night. They sparkle and shine and are so cute!
The paper, is a 5.00 pack that they sell at Wal-Mart. I bound my book using the Cinch! I am no Tim Holtz by any stretch of the imagination, but I did use the tools that he created and made just a little something of my own.
