I fell in love with the I-top custom brad maker after watching the video from youtube.  I told my husband that I wanted it for Christmas and he said to just order it.  When www.ohmycrafts.com had a 20% off coupon come out I ordered it from them.  I can not tell you how much I love this tool.  I made this video last week but unfortunately I was not able to get it posted to youtube until today.

Ohmycrafts has a bundle pack where you get the I-top tool and large brad carriage, case, 3 different brad sizes and 3 size paper punches.  I ended up not going with that bundle.  I think I paid $7.00 more then the bundle to get the same items in the bundle and the pink i-tool.  I had e-mailed and asked if they could swap the pink I-Top tool for the black in the bundle and they replied nicely, no.  I signed up for there e-mails and they have a new 20% coupon code (BLACK) good for 20% off any order over $20.00.  Expires 11-03-2009.  (I have no affiliation with ohmycrafts.com I am just sharing the savings that I took advantage of.)

Here is what I got.  First, the case is so cute!

The tool, packages of brads, the large carriage fit perfect in the case.  It also has extra room to store the brads that I have already made.

The three paper punches make cutting your custom size paper pieces a snap.

An alternative to the paper punches are templates.  You just trace the template and cut.  

There is also a Cricut Design Studio cut file for the templates that was made using the Accent Essentials cricut cartridge or the George and Basic Shapes cricut cartridge.  The 2 cut files can be downloaded from the blog, Imagine That.  It is an awesome blog with lots of other scrapbooking and cricut information. Has everyone heard about the i-top brad maker tool from Imaginisce?  I have been wanting this for a while but I have not bought one yet.  I came across this video on youtube.

I think that this is really cool.  www.ohmycrafts.com has a bundle pack for 99.00 and right now they have a 20% off coupon.  (Sep20 is the code, 20% off purchase of $20.00 or more)  They have a cute pink one that is not part of the bundled pack.  I did e-mail and ask them if they could switch the black for the pink in the bundle and they replied that they are unable to. I still think that it is a good deal though.  Oh my crafts is the cheapest place I have found it so far.  I have purchased lots of brads and the nice ones get very pricey and sometimes you can’t really find what you are looking for.  I have so much patterned paper that would be perfect for this.  I thought that it was really cute in the video when she used a picture of the little girl to make a brad for the center of the flower.   I think that this is going to go on my Christmas list for Santa.

I was looking through a magazine and I saw a gift box and I thought, I can make that!  So here is my attempt at replicating something I saw in a magazine.  It is a gift box.  I made it 6 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep.  I am just trying to think of ideas on how to use this box so I can make more of them.  I am thinking Christmas gifts, Mother’s Day gifts, birthday gifts and whatever special gifts I can get to fit inside.  I think that it turned out very pretty.  The svg, scut file and score and glue guide are all included in the zip file for download.  Thank you for stopping by my blog and I hope you enjoy this download.

****updated 08-23-09** I received an e-mail (Thank you Nancy) of an error message that pops up in scal version 2.

I am not sure why the error is happening.  The svg file is fine.  I can load it properly in scal version 1.  The scut file created in scal version 1 opens fine in scal version 2.  If you receive this error message in scal version 2, you can hit okay.  The box top or bottom will appear on the screen despite the error.  The size for some reason will change to 15×15 inches so the box is to large to be cut on a 12×12 mat.  It can easily be fixed by going to the right when you have the box top or bottom highlighted and change the size to 12×12 inches like the picture below.

The file cuts just fine even though scal 2 says that there is an error in the file.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please use the contact form on the right to send me a message.

Here is my last SVG of the night.   A Yin and Yang 2 piece svg.  I hope everyone enjoys them.

My son is teething right now so I have teeth on my mind.  He has 4 top teeth and 3 bottom teeth with another one coming in on the bottom.  This one is hurting him a lot but I think it is almost through.  I feel so bad but I have found when the baby orajel does not work a Popsicle does which he looooooves.

I am a very big Harry Potter fan.  I can’t wait to go see the movie.  I know what you are saying.  I can’t be that big of a fan if I have not seen the movie yet but I have a baby sitter for Saturday and I am going!  My sister and niece went to the 12:01 show last night.  I got minute by minute text messages of the slow crawling line to get into the theatre.  There review of it was, different but awesome.
