I was looking through a magazine and I saw a gift box and I thought, I can make that!  So here is my attempt at replicating something I saw in a magazine.  It is a gift box.  I made it 6 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep.  I am just trying to think of ideas on how to use this box so I can make more of them.  I am thinking Christmas gifts, Mother’s Day gifts, birthday gifts and whatever special gifts I can get to fit inside.  I think that it turned out very pretty.  The svg, scut file and score and glue guide are all included in the zip file for download.  Thank you for stopping by my blog and I hope you enjoy this download.

****updated 08-23-09** I received an e-mail (Thank you Nancy) of an error message that pops up in scal version 2.

I am not sure why the error is happening.  The svg file is fine.  I can load it properly in scal version 1.  The scut file created in scal version 1 opens fine in scal version 2.  If you receive this error message in scal version 2, you can hit okay.  The box top or bottom will appear on the screen despite the error.  The size for some reason will change to 15×15 inches so the box is to large to be cut on a 12×12 mat.  It can easily be fixed by going to the right when you have the box top or bottom highlighted and change the size to 12×12 inches like the picture below.

The file cuts just fine even though scal 2 says that there is an error in the file.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please use the contact form on the right to send me a message.

I love how this castle turned out after I cut it.  It is on a shiny black metallic paper backing and then white glitter paper.  Both paper packs I got a Wal-Mart a while ago.

There are 2 svg/scut  files in this zip file.  The shadow portion and then the overlay.  I hope you enjoy it!

Here is a bell that I have been working on.  Could be perfect for Memorial Day, July 4th, Christmas and Wedding Layouts or Cards.

I made these two files when someone was looking for some grilling svg’s.  I thought with that time of year coming up that someone else may be able to use these.

Spring is in the air.  My husband bought me my first climbing rose bush.  It is a climbing Queen Elizabeth.  I was so surprised and I just love it.  I am inspired by by spring and my flowers need a watering can so here you go.

Here is a Fluer De Lys that I created in InkScape.  The file can be cut on your cricut using Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL).
