I got the Joann’s ad in the mail yesterday.  They have cricut cartridges on sale for $39.99.  They also have the cricut personal and the cricut expression on sale.  You can see there online sales flyer here. They are not as good as deal as they had on Black Friday but it is still not a bad deal.  I am going to to and check out what cartridges they have now.  My local store is redesigning the cricut area.  All the cartridges are in a cage in the front by the registers.  Also Yudu items as well.

I only had a little bit of time today to work on the computer today.  I made a birthday party hat svg to cut on your cricut.

We recently celebrated my son’s first birthday with a messy cake.  Here a just a little snip of the video.

I have just been playing around in inkscape.  Here is a birthday cake.  I separated all the layers in the single svg.

I wanted to make a birthday card for my son so I made this.  I was going to use some toys from the new arrival cricut cartridge for the center of the circles but I decided to use foam dimensional stickers from Jolee instead.  It is an a2 size card made from the plantin schoolbooks cricut cartridges.

I think the close up of the card was to close so I am uploading another picture.

I thought that I would upload the cut file if anyone would like it.  I made 2 versions.  One for plantin schoolbooks and the other using only the george cartridge.  Both are included in the same zip file.  Score the card at 4.25 inches.

I think that this card can be used for a lot of different things.  I have some cute Jolee dimensional baby stickers that would be awesome as well.  The little booties and stuff fit perfectly inside the center of the circles. 

I was looking through a magazine and I saw a gift box and I thought, I can make that!  So here is my attempt at replicating something I saw in a magazine.  It is a gift box.  I made it 6 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep.  I am just trying to think of ideas on how to use this box so I can make more of them.  I am thinking Christmas gifts, Mother’s Day gifts, birthday gifts and whatever special gifts I can get to fit inside.  I think that it turned out very pretty.  The svg, scut file and score and glue guide are all included in the zip file for download.  Thank you for stopping by my blog and I hope you enjoy this download.

****updated 08-23-09** I received an e-mail (Thank you Nancy) of an error message that pops up in scal version 2.

I am not sure why the error is happening.  The svg file is fine.  I can load it properly in scal version 1.  The scut file created in scal version 1 opens fine in scal version 2.  If you receive this error message in scal version 2, you can hit okay.  The box top or bottom will appear on the screen despite the error.  The size for some reason will change to 15×15 inches so the box is to large to be cut on a 12×12 mat.  It can easily be fixed by going to the right when you have the box top or bottom highlighted and change the size to 12×12 inches like the picture below.

The file cuts just fine even though scal 2 says that there is an error in the file.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please use the contact form on the right to send me a message.

Here is a bell that I have been working on.  Could be perfect for Memorial Day, July 4th, Christmas and Wedding Layouts or Cards.

I hate to tie bows, I am really bad at them.  If I could tie a perfect bow, this is what it would look like.

I created this svg for my niece Jessica.  I gave her one birthday card, but I promised her another one that is going to be great.  I am not sure I will get great, but this will help.  I am going to use this on the inside instead of writing or stamping it.

This was one of the first father’s day svg files that I made.  I forgot to post it with the other files.
