Scalloped Purse SVG
I thought that this purse might be cute for my daughter to play with. We used some paper punches today and punched out little scalloped circles. She calls them flowers, so I thought that she could put them in here.
Here is the purse svg to cut on your cricut. The svg and the scut with score guide is included in the zip file.
Scalloped Bag SVG for SCAL
I am working on a few little things for my friends and I needed a little bag to put a few items in. This is what I came up with. I made it the first time around as an all in one piece but I needed it to be larger and it was to difficult to work with 1 piece so I broke it up into 3 pieces. The sides are 2 inches and the front and back are 3 inches. The height is 4 inches. It is a pretty good size bag. I included the scut file for this because It is just about to the edges on the cricut mat and I thought that it would be helpful. The score guide is included in the zip file as well. Happy cutting on your cricut!
5 Sided House Box SVG
I was working on another box last night. I could not figure out what to call it, it kind of looks like a bird house so I decided just to call it a house box. It was super easy to cut on the cricut and gluing was a snap. I have 2 different styles of the house box.
I thought this box would work well 2 ways. One as a regular box and another as an open box. A little transparency paper on the inside of the center opening would make this a cute box to give gifts in.
The score and glue guide is included in the zip file. The zip file has 4 svg files. 1 of each box top. 1 box bottom and 1 svg with both the box and the top.
Christmas Carry Box SVG
I am in the Christmas spirit. I bought my first Christmas present yesterday. It was a vest for my niece from Old Navy. I totally scored at this store. There was a 50% off sale off winter outerwear and plus they are having a 30% give and get coupon weekend. I got 50% off the original price and then another 30% off that price. I bought 4 winter jackets, 1 vest and a shirt for my husband for $80.00. I think that I got the most amazing deal on a jacket for my daughters Christmas outfit. I was only going to buy her a winter jacket but I got it for $12.97. I could not pass it up, it is so soft and furry.
To celebrate, I have a Christmas carry box svg to cut on your cricut. It is so darn cute. I cut one before I went to work and stuck some left over Halloween candy in it and gave it to my friend at work. She thought that it was awesome and it really made her day. The score and glue guide is included in the zip file.
Sorry, I fixed the file. I had accidentally included the gift bag from an earlier post instead of the gift box when I uploaded it earlier this morning.
Halloween Coffin Treat Box SVG For Sure Cuts A Lot
I saw a wood coffin box that you could paint and decorate at the craft store and I have been trying to see how I could make one out of paper but have it secure enough to hold a few Halloween Tricks or Treats. This is what I came up with. I hope that you like it.
I thought that I would share the easiest way to resize the coffin in SCAL. Import the SVG into SCAl. And then change the width and height to the same number. The file is already formatted for a 12×12 cutting mat. (Click here if you want to know more about 12×12 formatting) You can increase or decrease the number to make it larger or smaller. In the picture below, I wanted to make the coffin larger so I changed the width and height to 16.00. Just make sure you use the same number when cutting the top and bottom of the box otherwise they will not fit together properly. If you have any questions, please let me know.
The glue and score guide is included in the zip file.
A2 Card Box and 6 x 2.5 Inch Box Plantin SchoolBook Cut File
I recently made some boxes in inkscape to be cut in Sure Cuts A Lot. I decided to try and create them in a cut file so I used the Plantin Schoolbook cricut cartridge only. The large box is 6×6 and 2.50 inches deep. The smaller one is designed to hold A2 size cards and it is 4.75 by 5.75 and 1 inch deep. The score guide is included in the zip file for download.
Pie Box With Ribbon SVG (Makes A Great Treat Box!!)
I saw a pie box in a magazine and I really wanted to try and make it. I think that it would be great for the holidays or birthday’s. I can’t wait until Christmas time. I am going to make some and fill them with chocolates and embellish them with Christmas bows and stickers and take them to work. I also thought that it would be great for those little treats at baby showers.
This was so easy to make. It actually took me longer to try and figure out how to tie the bow then to cut the box and score it. It requires no glue or adhesive if you use the ribbon to secure the box.
The SVG, score guide and scut file is included in the zip file. The scut is setup to cut 2 pie boxes at one time. If you download this file, please leave a comment and let me know what you think about it.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
Box Tutorial (Making A Card Box or Any Size Box SVG)
I received lots of compliments on a box that I posted recently so I decided to make another one and also do a how to video on it. This box is designed to hold A2 size cards that are 4 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches. The svg file is included for download.
Here is the video. I have been working on it all week. I think I have actually recorded it 20 times. It just took a little bit for me to figure out which was the best method to record and upload it. I initially ended up with over a 600 MB file and that was just to much and it is 16 minutes long and I could not upload it to Youtube with out splitting the file. I think that I have it all figured out except on my Imac I can not hear the video with out the volume being cranked all the way up. I think it must be my computer because the volume is fine on my Windows computer. I was able to get the file small enough so I can host it right on my own site. This tutorial is meant for people that have general knowledge of Inkscape but should be easy enough to pause the video while you try and work along with it in Inkscape. This video will give you the basics on how you can create your own custom size box to fit your needs. If you have any questions, please let me know.
***I was able to fix the audio. It turns out that it was not me or my computer, it was the microphone that I was using. I picked up a Logitech USB headset w/microphone on clearance at Target and it works awesome. Sorry for all the difficulty.
You may have to right click, then go to save as to download.
