Hand Made Memo Pad
Here is a memo pad that I made using only chipboard, paper and my bind it all. I made it the same way I have my other pads. I cut the chipboard to be larger then my memo pad that I was using. Cut the paper to match the sides to the front and back. Adhere with my Xyron machine. Used the glue glider pro to adhere the memo pad and finished it off with my bind it all, ribbon and a sticker.
MyCricut Design Contest, Top Prize Bind It All (pink v2.0)
***contest closed***
I have received lots and lots of questions regarding the Bind It All. I love, love, love my BIA and I decided that I am going to give one away. Because it is an expensive craft tool I wanted to make sure that it goes true cricut crafter so I am holding a contest. The first place grand prize will be the Bind It All (pink v2.0) plus 1 package of O rings. The second and third place winners will receive 5 12×24 (colors of my choice) sheets of Oracal Exhibition 631 Vinyl. It is the exact same vinyl that Provocraft sells.

Not sure what the Bind It All is. Check out these videos, these are actual chapters from the DVD that comes with the BIA.
My First Hannah Montana (PARTY) Cricut Word Book
I have been waiting patiently (not!) by the mailbox for my Hannah Montana cricut cartridge to arrive and it has not arrived yet. I played around with Design Studio this morning and came up with a PARTY word book. I can’t wait to cut it.
The file is good to go, You probably would want to highlight the middle of the PAR letters and hide the contour on each. I included a reminder text file in the zip file. The rectangle of the book was created with the Plantin School cartridge. If you don’t have that cartridge, you can change the rectangle out for another rectangle on a different cartridge. Click on the word videos under tag section on the right for a demonstration on how to do this.
Please Suggest A Word Book
I love to make word books to cut on my cricut. I tend to make only the ones that I need or think I will need in the future. I am taking suggestions right now on wordbook designs. Please answer the following questions. You may submit as many different word book suggestions as you would like. I can’t guarantee that I will make every book but it will give me a starting point and I will compile a list.
I Used My Cricut To Make My Own Embossing Folders
The other day when I tried the cricut cuttables I thought that there must be a cheaper and easier way to make embossing folders. I did it! I used 3m transparency paper, cricut new arrival cartridge, 1 piece of chipboard, Design Studio, brayer (optional) and Beacon’s 3 in 1 Advanced Craft glue.
I created this pattern in Design Studio and then cut it with chipboard on 4x multi cut. (I created a rectangle 4 1/2 by 5 1/2 to match an A2 card and then fit the flowers inside and deleted the rectangle before cutting). I cut the transparency paper a little larger.. sorry I forgot to measure it.
I used the Beacon’s 3 in 1 Advanced Craft Glue and glued the outside (negative) of the design to the 3m Transparency paper. I then rolled the brayer over it to make sure that the glue dried as flat as possible.
After the outside part was dry, like a puzzle I placed each flower back in to the negative. I dabbed some glue on each flower piece. I closed my embossing folder and then ran the brayer over it.
This is what I ended up with after everything dried. The flowers glued to one side of the transparency paper and the negative of the cut glued to the other side.
This is the final result. I embossed this with my Sizzix Big Kick. I made my sandwich on the texturz setting on the multi purpose platform. I first put down the first cutting pad, then the texturz rubber mat, the embossing folder with the paper inside, then the 2nd cutting pad and then a piece of foam on top. It went right through my Big Kick. I think that that embossed design turned out great. I am sure you can use this same method on other machines like the cuttlebug.
Change Shapes In A Design Studio Cut File Word Book
I have several word book cut files available on my blog for download. I have used the rectangle from George and Basic Shapes cartridge for a few of the books. I received several request from people that love the word books and want to cut them but don’t own George. I put together this little video on how you can easily make a change to the book so that you can cut the file if you have the font cartridge being used and another cartridge with a rectangle or square on it.
Cricut Storybook Grandma and Grandpa Cricut Word book
For my mother-in-law’s Mother’s Day gift I am making her a grandma word book. Here is picture of it after I got it all cut.
I had enough time today cut the paper for it as well. Here is a work in progress picture.
I have to glue everything together and then bind it with the bind it all. I have a bunch of pictures ready to add that I just got from Walgreen’s. They are running a special for 50 pictures for $5.00 I uploaded 150 pictures from my digital camera. I think $15.00 for 150 pictures is a great deal.
Since grandma and grandpa are only 1 letter different, I added an optional P page at the end of the word book in the cut file for a Grandpa word book.
I hid the contour on the R,D,N,A,A on the book that I cut, please make sure to check them before you cut if you want them hidden as well.
Hello Kitty FAMILY Word Book Free Cut File
I have had my Hello Kitty font cartridge for awhile and I have not done much with it. I used it to make a few birthday cards but that was pretty much it. I dusted it off today and created this word book. The Hello Kitty cartridge does not have a square on it so I had to use George and Basic Shapes cartridge for that part. If you don’t have George and you have another cartridge that does have a square on it, you can just change them out. If you need help, let me know and I would be happy to help.
