Black Friday Experience So Far….. (Closed)
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope that everyone has a safe and happy one. I have already done some shopping online. I am so surprised that places like the Boston Store, Old Navy, Joanns and Office Max have a lot of the deals online and in store and some of them have already activated there online sales already.
I stopped by our local Wal-Mart to pick up some Christmas Tree lights. I had a chance to check out the specials that they have already set up. They either were wrapped in plastic or had caution tape around them stating that it was not for sale until tomorrow. To avoid what happened last year they have decided to keep Wal-Marts that were not open 24 hours open tonight all night. My sister had told me that but our Wal–Mart never had any signs up saying they would remain open but today the cashier confirmed that they were staying open all night. I think that there will be a lot of disappointed people tomorrow because our store does not have very many of the big ticket items. There was 5 of the microwaves. There were only of few of the Xbox and PS3. There was 4 of the brother sewing machines. I was most interested in the toys. They were a lot of mixed pallets out. A few of each toy piled up. I think that they are going to sell out very early. We are going to go with the mindset that we get what we get and if not, that’s okay. They only had one pallet of cricut machines. I think that there was only between 4 of each color and the cricut cartridges display was not out yet.
Today after dinner I went to Michaels to to check out there Thanksgiving day sale. There was about 40 people in line already by the time I got there. When the door finally opened there was a mad rush for the cricut display. They had lots and lots of cartridges. Most of them were the Sweat Treats, Pagoda, Old West, Paisley and Designer’s Calendar. The unexpected deal was the cricut personal. Michaels had it listed in the paper for $97.99 and at the store they have reduced the price to $69.99. I think that they did it to avoid having to keep price matching Joann’s $74.99
I picked up one of the cartridges that I did not have yet (Pagoda). Designer’s Calendar and Old West were a gift from my friend.
It will be exciting to play with them.
I decided since the cartridges were such a great deal that I would be giving 1 away on my blog. The cartridge that I decided to give away is…………………
The Sweet Treats cricut cartridge!!!!! I love this cartridge. It is brand new and in the package. To enter, please leave a comment on this post stating which cricut cartridge is your favorite and why. Only 1 comment per person please. A winner will be selected via random.org on Friday December 4th.

New cartridges have been added to Design Studio and the Gypsy.
Here are the new cricut cartridges added.

4. Snow Friends
5. Very Merry Tags
6. Dinosaur Tracks

To update Design Studio you have to download the current font pack here.
To update your Gypsy you have to connect it to your computer and sync it. People on the cricut.com message board state that they are having trouble syncing it and had to uninstall the Gypsy Sync software and then download and install it again. The Gypsy then syncs fine. If you also have trouble you may want to try that as well. I updated my Gypsy and my friends and did not have any trouble.
New Cricut Cartridges Announced (Special Editions)
Sorry for the delay in posting this. There are some new cricut cartridges that are available for pre order.
The first 3 are special editions. I have heard them referred to as mini cartridges because they don’t have full content on them. I have also heard that they will be available only for a limited time. Once they are sold out, they won’t be available any more.
Snow Flakes
Snow Friends
Very Merry Tags
Dinosaur Tracks
Old West
Pagoda
I have to admit, that the last 3 are not really something that I am interested in. I found that www.ohmycrafts.com is having a bundle pre order sale. You can can the Snow Flakes, Snow Friends and Very Merry Tags for $69.97 or Dinosaur Tracks, Old West and Pagoda for $139.00. They have a 20% off any order coupon (enjoy is the code). I am not usually a pre order type of person but I might just do the first snow and tag bundle.
